Tissue Sarees

A tissue saree is the one you reach for when the occasion calls for shine without weight. Tissue is woven with fine metallic thread through the warp, which gives it a natural sheen that catches light as you move — the reason this fabric belongs at festive occasions rather than everyday ones.

These carry jamdani-inspired motifs — geometric forms and bird figures woven into the cloth rather than printed onto it. Jamdani is a GI-protected handloom tradition from Bengal; ours are powerloom-woven, so we call them jamdani-inspired rather than Jamdani. The motif language is traditional, the method is not, and the price reflects that honestly.

How it wears. Light in the hand and crisp in the pleat, so the drape stays looking set through a long evening. Gold-toned tassels finish the pallu. Tissue creases and snags more readily than modal or bamboo silk — treat it as an occasion saree and store it folded in cotton cloth.

Every tissue saree comes with a matching blouse piece. Free shipping across India, cash on delivery available.
